Started by local mums Jan McTaggart and Carole Sommerville after the only fruit and veg shop in Broughty Ferry closed down, they now stock some of their favourites beyond this starting point: Your Piece oatcakes, Damn Good sauces and relishes and Summer Harvest oils, for example. They're particularly proud of their pioneering Soup in a Bag concept: a different recipe each week, clipped to a bag of all the ingredients (minus the water), which has been rolled out to meals like paella, veg lasagna and curries, and black pudding & sweet potato stovies.

Dundee Larder

Listed in the Dundee Larderorder a print copy (free + p&p).

This lively and beautifully presented greengrocer's shop stocks both locally grown produce and goods from further afield. The shop also sells sauces and relishes, organic teas from Mr Scruff and a good range of deli ingredients. Special mention must go to their Soup in a Bag and Meal in a Bag: a recipe and all the ingredients needed to make a batch of soup or a meal for four people, in a bag.
