At the Meikleour Hotel near Blairgowrie, a team of three experienced chefs have prepared a range of highly acclaimed bistro-style cuisine for you to enjoy.
Each imaginative dish is made in-house, with its own special stock pot prepared every Monday, and only the freshest produce is used. The fish is delivered daily direct from the boats in Aberdeen, whilst the meat is purchased at the local award-winning butchers. Fresh fruit and vegetables are also delivered every morning.
In fact, all produce is sourced locally whenever possible, with the delicious strawberries and raspberries from the fields of Carse of Gowrie being a favourite choice in the summer months.
The home-cooking style menu includes old and new dishes, ranging from the hotel's popular signature dish of Fresh Haddock coated in the hotel's own beer and spring water batter, to a Daily Specials Blackboard. Fresh salmon is always available and local game is often offered when in season.
