Next to Stockport's fire station on King Street, you can't miss the bright neon sign of Last Monsoon restaurant, featuring an extensive fusion menu of dishes from India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Asian fusion specialities include Chicken Anarkali, which is diced chicken and minced lamb, wrapped in a Bangladeshi-style omelette. For seafood lovers, Machley Massalla is a dish of marinated chunks of fish cooked in a clay oven. Vegetarians are spoilt for choice, with a dozen mains including paneer chilli massalla with Bengal bullet chillies.
There are seafood, vegetarian and mild sections, and all dishes are marked with chilli symbols to indicate their heat. Each dish is prepared using authentic, traditional recipes and timeless cooking techniques.
