The Old Government House Hotel & Spa
The Old Government House Hotel & Spa is the longest established and most historically famous hotel in the Channel Islands. As a hotel it dates back to 1858 prior to which it was the official residence of the Queen's representative to the Bailiwick of Guernsey - The Lt. Governor.
The OGH, as it is now affectionately known, continues to be the leading hotel on the island. Located in the heart of the island's capital, St Peter Port, it is the perfect base to explore Guernsey and the other islands of the Bailiwick. The hotel boasts an indulgent health club, spa and outdoor pool for your relaxation needs, whilst the two in-house restaurants, the OGH Brasserie and Governor's fine dining restaurant, offer the best of local produce with a French twist.
Chef de Cuisine, Jerome Barbançon is responsible for these restaurants. Originating from Brittany and working throughout France, England and Scotland before arriving in Guernsey early in 2006, Jeromes style is classical yet contemporary. Whilst featuring local fish and seafood, Jerome will go further afield to source top quality products such as genuine Scotch beef and Lydling Farm pork.
