Aberdeen-Angus beef and lamb sold directly from the farm and at Fife farmers' markets.
Farmed by the Wilson family since the 1960s, Jim and Jennifer Wilson's 400-acre Balhelvie Farm raises beef cattle and lambs for their meat, which is sold at St Andrews and Cupar farmers markets, and to passing trade. Naturally fed cattle are born and reared on the farm, grazing the hills of North Fife during the summer, along with a flock of 250 ewes. Wheat, barley, oil seed rape and fodder beet are also grown on the farm both as feed for the livestock and for selling. Although locals pop by on the off-chance, customers from further afield are advised to call ahead.
