Lochend Farm Shop
Farm shop and café on a working farm near the Fife/Kinross-shire border at the eastern end of Loch Leven.
Beautifully placed at the eastern end of Loch Leven and south of Kinross, this working farm has great views over the surrounding fields. Specialising in a wide range of vegetables, including their famous carrots, the shop stocks the fruits of their labours, and a selection of storecupboard items, meats and a decent deli offering. It's a celebration of Scottish produce, with plenty from Fife, including Puddledub bacon and Buffalo farm meat, as well as Ayrshire cheese, Aberfeldy flour and Scottish rapeseed oil. Their super-fresh vegetables go into the café’s offerings, including farmhouse soups, baked tatties, sandwiches and lots of homemade cakes and bakes, all of which can be enjoyed at outdoor tables. An unusual sideline is the second-hand book selection, which helped raise a donation of over £25k to a children’s hospice charity in 2015.
