This modest neighbourhood butchers tucked away in Boghall punches way above its weight. Its legendary pies have locals queueing and judges at the UK Pie Awards smiling, winning two categories in 2010. Owner Paul Boyle’s pie range is vast, the fillings imaginative. Everything is made on the premises, both savoury and sweet. Add their wholesome ready meals, from lamb casserole to lasagne, plus plenty of fresh veg and fruit, and it is, as they say, all good.
