Previously known as The Edinburgh Cookery School, Scotland's oldest independent cookery school was established in 1986, and works out of a converted coach house in the grounds of the Newliston Estate, 12 miles west of Edinburgh city centre. Teaching ranges from casual one-day courses to a six month, full time Diploma in food and wine, from children’s cookery to a course designed for business start ups, covering marketing, bookkeeping and grappling with tax. Their classes are accredited by the British Accreditation Council, which sets certain standards for higher education, and they also have the First Minister’s seal of approval, with a contract to provide catering to Bute House.
Established in 1986 and located in the tranquil setting of the Newliston Estate, the Edinburgh School of Food & Wine is Scotland's oldest cookery school. Voted UK's Best Cookery School 2020 in the Food & travel awards.
