JP's Deli & Cafe
Bunney's was taken over in August 2013 by John Paul McLachlan, the chef behind John Paul's restaurant in North Berwick's Marine Hotel. It has been re-branded to JP's Deli & Cafe, but the offering remains essentially the same as during Rod and Lorna Bunney's successful 12 years at the helm. Bespoke cakes, Scottish and continental cheeses and meats are the order of the day here, backed up by an impressively diverse range of additional products, including wines and spirits, preserves, Belhaven smoked fish, bread from the Dunbar Bakery, cook books and pottery. The cafe opens for pop-up restaurant evenings every second Saturday of the month, which sell out well in advance.
