Scarletts was originally established as a commercial beekeeping business, but in 2003 it moved into honey production and now operates more than 1,000 hives across Angus, Fife and Perthshire, making it one of the largest honey producers in the country. A limited amount of its honey is imported from overseas, but most of Scarletts' products are derived from their own hives. Scarletts produce a variety of honeys, including Heather, Blossom, Acacia and Polyflora, as well as honey-based products such as honeycomb, honey tablet and beeswax candles.
