Located at the entrance to the famous Findhorn eco-village, the Phoenix Community Store started life as a specialist new age shop. It has now turned into a thriving community store, specialising in organic, Fairtrade and artisan foodstuffs. But it has retained some of its alternative tendencies and also houses an apothecary. What's more, the Phoenix is part of a community partnership and hundreds of local people own a share of the business.
