Inverloch Cheese Company
Inverloch make a range of eighteen cheeses from their own cow and goat's milk, produced on the beautiful peninsula of Kintyre where the family run business is based. The cheeses are distributed throughout Britain and exported worldwide. Started by Kay Eaton when the market for her son's goat's milk collapsed, their first product was Inverloch goat's cheese. This has now been joined by Crottin, a fresh goat's cheese, truckles of Gigha cheddar - plain, smoked, or laced with Bordeaux wine, mustard, pickle, garlic, herbs or chives. An unusual blend of Gigha cheddar and cream cheeses are shaped and wax coated as either an apple, pear, or orange and flavoured with the likes of whisky, chives or orange liqueur. Finally, Drumloch is a full fat, cheddar-style cheese, and they do an Isle of Kintyre smoked mature cheddar.
