Rose Cottage Country Kitchen
Not open to the public.
Rose Cottage Country Kitchen produce handmade sauces, jams, marmalades, jellies, chutneys, relishes and other products for online shoppers and the retail markets in Scotland and England. All products are made and packaged by hand, using local produce wherever possible; citrus fruits have to be sourced from small independent suppliers but soft fruits are all grown in local nurseries and some fruits, such as rhubarb, apple and plums, are grown in the firm's garden (with top-ups from local suppliers). Most jams are made with 50% of fruit per volume, jellies with at least 60g of fruit per 100g and marmalades with c. 45g of fruit per 100g. In 2012 the company received 2 gold star Great Taste awards for its Summer Fruit Jam and its Tablet. Jam flavours include blackcurrant, Victoria plum, peach & raspberry, damson, morello cherry & apple and rhubarb & ginger. Jellies include quince, rosehip, bramble, damson and redcurrant. The company also produces chutneys, relishes and mustards and a range of table sauces. Christmas products are seasonally available, and Rose Cottage has recently started to produce limited quantities of fruit cake.
