Findlay's of Portobello
A family-run butcher providing free-range meat and poultry from farms around the Scottish borders, Findlay's has been trading since 1974. They use only free-range cattle, selected and then hung for no less than two weeks to mature and enhance the flavour of the meat. Free-range pork is sourced from a farm in Hawick and the lamb from Peeblesshire. Renowned for their award-winning, handmade products, they hold titles for their black pudding, beef sausage, bacon (cured and oak smoked on the premises) and haggis. The latter comes either traditionally, with an Asian twist, for veggies, or in venison. They have an extensive gluten-free range, including a rainbow of sausages, beef olives and haggis.
