John and Connie Sorrie's extra virgin rapeseed oil ('ola' means oil in Gaelic) is grown and cold-pressed on their farm near Inverurie in Aberdeenshire. Produced since 2008 (theirs was the first Scottish rapeseed oil), nothing is added or taken away to retain the oil's goodness. Rather, they've branched out into a range of oil-based products: infused oils in lemon, basil, roasted garlic or chilli; a Dark and Spicy marinade and a three Steading salad dressings: balsamic and honey, lemon & basil and raspberry. More recently they've launched rapeseed aioli, and chilli jam, and they employ local baker JG Ross to make Ola Oil oatcakes. The oil comes in 250ml or 500ml glass bottles or 5L catering packs.
