Young entrepreneur Fraser Doherty was such a lover of his gran’s preserves that he decided to have a go at making some himself to sell at farmer’s markets and local shops. However, he wanted to make jam using only the most nutritious ingredients. Concerned about high sugar levels, he used natural fruit juices as sweeteners, along with antioxidant and vitamin-packed super fruits such as cranberries and blackberries and absolutely nothing artificial. The result was SuperJam. He’s come a long way since then and his jam is now also available to buy online and from most major supermarkets. Similarly inspired by his gran's habit of taking afternoon tea to elderly people in Glasgow, he's started a charity called The SuperJam Tea Parties, which has organised hundreds of tea parties for elderly people living alone or in care homes across the UK.
