Perthshire Larder

Listed in the Perthshire Larderorder a print copy (free + p&p).

Bruce Farms, based in Perthshire, produce soft fruit, peas, beans, blackcurrants, potatoes, cereals and pedigree Charolais cattle. The Bruce family has been farming in the area since 1898, and now own six farms, while land is rented in the surrounding area from a further 160, producing almost half of Scotland’s annual peas and beans. Bruce Farms grows and packs strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, for supermarket supply and for the premium grade Bruce Brand. All this soft fruit is hand-picked and packed at the farm's BRC-accredited packing hall, which also packs under contract. They guarantee 100% traceability right back to source of seed, and have their own fleet of mobile pea viners and factory for processing and storage of the frozen product. Potatoes have been grown in the area for as long as anyone can remember. Bruce Farm cereals consist of barley and wheat.
