Barça Tapas and Cava Bar

A plush and popular Spanish restaurant situated in Princes Square – Glasgow's designer shopping centre.

Eating & Drinking Guide

The 2017/18 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).

This slick city centre tapas bar is found in a suitably swish setting – on an open-floor terrace surrounded by designer boutiques in an upmarket shopping centre tucked away off Glasgow’s Style Mile. The friendly staff here swear by the classics such as chunky meatballs in rich tomato sauce while the lamb tagine, a North African incursion into Spain, is reasonably tender. Another interesting influence on the menu is heading westwards with chunky grilled halloumi paired with classic Mediterranean flavours of rosemary and lemon. Best of all though is to order a cocktail or a glass of cava from the attractive selection on offer and people-watch. Around and below, Glasgow’s glitterati shop, talk and dine amid the gilded and glossy confines of the open concourse. Either flaunt it like you own it or pretend you’re living the dream, no one will know. Salsa nights occur regularly through the month, offering guests the chance to shake it like Shakira.
