Plato brings a modern Greek restaurant to Bothwell, inspired by the owners' roots on the Greek island of Milos. The menu is stuffed with delicious dishes ranging from starters like feta saganaki (feta cheese wrapped in filo pastry, deep fried and drizzled with honey and sesame seeds), to dolmades filled with rice, beef and lamb mince and fresh herbs, served with a yoghurt and dill dip. For mains you'll find Greek grill dishes like pork or chicken souvlaki, grilled steaks, Greek pastas as well as more traditional dishes like moussaka (layers of beef and lamb mince, aubergine, potato topped with homemade bechamel sauce, sprinkled with kefalotyri cheese), or beef stifado (slow-cooked beef in a rich tomato sauce, red wine, Greek herbs and caramelised onion shallots, served with rice, spaghetti or oven-roast potatoes). There's also dips and platters to share, as well as a very reasonable pre-theatre menu.
