With a steady stream of JustEat drivers waiting to pick up and an omnipresent queue, there is a reason why this burger paradise calls itself ‘Glasgow’s Best Burger’. The brainchild of burger enthusiast Nick Watkins offers a succinct takeaway menu, where quality and flavour reign supreme. The Top Dog burger is the megastar bringing together the mouthwateringly decadent flavours of bone marrow, Roquefort butter, double bacon, caramelised onion and black truffle mayo. For the burger purists, go for the Classic option with onions, pickles and burger sauce letting the quality of the beef do the talking. Elsewhere on the menu, there are chicken wings options, which are fried in confit duck fat, ensuring extra crispiness. The Korean Gochujang wings are glazed in an umami-packed fish sauce with sesame seeds for a nutty edge. For fries, you can go for buffalo and blue sauce loaded or for the togarashi fries with its blend of sesame seeds and kick of spices. With a restaurant-size venue set to open soon, El Perro Negro’s infamy among the city’s carnivores is only set to grow.
