An intimate restaurant in a modern croft from a husband-and-wife team based by the Iona ferry, the Ninth Wave produces ambitious, smart cooking with ingredients sourced from local fishermen and crofters.
Winner: Restaurant of the Year 2013 H&I Awards
Runner-up: Best Restaurant 2013 VisitScotland
A wee gem of a seafood restaurant on the wild moors of Mull. Owners John and Carla Lamont invite you to explore the daily changing menu that is sourced from local fishermen’s catches and crofter’s bounty. Menu ingredients are picked fresh from the kitchen garden or gathered from the seven-acre wild Hebridean croft. John, a local fisherman himself, not only catches your lobster and crab on his wee fishing boat The Sonsie, but is also your waiter and wine steward for the evening.
The restaurant takes its name from Celtic sea mythology, where the 'land of other-worldly delights' begins at the ninth wave.
