The charity event aims to raise cash for Edinburgh's homeless people
The List is hosting a Stop for Soup Day at our courtyard off Edinburgh’s Royal Mile from 1–3pm on Wed 18 Dec. The event, organised via the Bethany Christian Trust, will raise funds to help find accomodation for homeless and vulnerable people during the winter months.
We’ll be selling a selection of two or three hearty soups (with a chunky hunk of bread) priced at £3 each, with some baked goodies (created by our in-office domestic gods/goddesses) also available for £1 a pop. As well as offering a warm, tasty lunch and raising cash for a good cause, we’ll also be giving the courtyard a festive makeover, so come down and partake in the friendly festive atmosphere.
We agree with the Bethany Trust that no-one should be alone or on the streets at Christmas, and so all of the proceeds will go directly to securing places for Edinburgh's homeless people in Emergency Shelter.
