If you're looking to expand your culinary repertoire and impress your friends and family with some delicious new dishes, or are simply searching for a great gift then a course at the Krua Thai Cookery School could be just what you need. Established in Edinburgh in 1997, this centre of culinary excellence attracts students from all over the world who want to discover the secrets of traditional Thai cookery, stimulate their senses and prepare food to the highest standard.

The explosion in popularity of Thai restaurants has created an appetite to replicate some of their showstopping dishes at home, and here's your chance to find out how. As part of this year's Edinburgh Fringe, the school will be running an exclusive, 90-minute, in-person demonstration dubbed Amazing Chef's Table: Thai Street Food Cooking, with shows taking place daily from now until Monday 30 August, priced at £65.

These special events will give you both a taste of what Thai food has to offer, alongside plenty of practical tips. They see course leader, school founder and executive chef Rujira (Ru) Yuenboon Herd share some of her invaluable expertise, with the audience taking home the recipes to try themselves. Ru's cooking has been enjoyed by top-flight clients, including Hilton presidents, VIPs attending Wimbledon and the globally-renowned chef Albert Roux. During this Fringe show, Ru will be discussing the ingredients used in the Thai kitchen and answering your questions as she prepares a delicious three-course meal before your very eyes, with the menu changing daily.

If you'd like to learn more, then the school – which is based at 19 Liberton Brae, Edinburgh – offers a wide variety of masterclasses, seven days a week, all year round.
