The parallel lines of Easter Road and Leith Walk are arguably the best in Edinburgh for takeaway food. One of the latest entries to this ultra-competitive market, Cardamom, is already building a strong local following. A converted shop front, the bright, warmly coloured interior is softened by draped muslin and a comfy couch to relax in while you wait. The considerable list of 'Cardamom Specialities' showcase the owner's North Indian roots, but cater to almost every taste. Haryali massala is ideal for the korma-lover craving something more fragrant while a hop over the border into Nepal gives inspiration for the spicy and delicious Kathmandu chicken.

Great food - as always! Really high quality ingredients and lovely spice combinations. Fast delivery and really good value - can´t recommend them highly enough!

WORST TAKE AWAY EVER!!!
We have ordered food for over £30, as the reviews on "just-eat" suggested this was a good choice. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! They claim to be in top 10 in Edinburgh, however the food was average. The pakora ordered by my flatmate was way too soggy!!! We have waited longer than the expected time, but when I phoned the shop to ask about our food, a really impolite member of staff gave me an attitude. We received our food moments after the talk, however still reviewed on-line to share the experience and warn others. Day later I received a very rude, aggressive phone call from another person (probably somebody in charge), who shouted at me, did not allow me to speak and accused me of lying in my review! We will NEVER order from there again and I strongly advise you to think twice before doing so yourself.
