Eagle Barge Inn

We book into the Barge every time we go up to Scotland and get really good service and food. The atmosphere is so relaxed, courteous and friendly. Food is excellent (try the seafood platter to share - awesome), the place is soooo good to chill out in and have a good giggle with the owner, his family and the regulars. We couldn't ask for a better service and will most definitely visit again and again. (Book well in advance though as they are so well thought of that they get very very busy. If you book then the owner will text you the menu a couple of days prior to your visit to order your meals as everything is brought in fresh daily).
Wonderful place. Please don't change it. x

This place was one of the highlights of my walking the Great Glen Way. The food was delicious and my friend and I ended up staying for several drinks at the bar afterwards (despite having another 20 miles to do the next day!)

The proprietors were not only welcoming, but went above and beyond by giving us a lift back to our hostel along the road as it was dark and we didn't have torches. The atmosphere was relaxed and warm and I would certainly encourage anyone with the chance to make a booking and take the time to visit this unique place.
