Garvald Bakery

Part of Garvald Edinburgh, an support organisation for adults with disabilities, the bakery is run by three bakers and 10-12 people with special needs. It has been providing work and training since 1983, and now supplies between around 14 shops and cafés in Edinburgh with a range of organic breads, cakes, scones and biscuits, including Real Foods and Tattie Shaws. Visits are encouraged if you'd like to pop over and see how they're made - just call ahead to give some notice.
