The Rising Sun

There’s a self-confidence in the Rising Sun that you’ll not find in the more ersatz traditional bars. It’s a rare adherent to old-style opening times - closing mid-afternoon except for Saturdays so that everything is made spick and span - and culinary ambition amounts to toasties and pies. Long-time Bridge of Allan residents keep coming back for the well served pints and leisurely chat, but anyone venturing inside the whorled windows with inflated airs and graces can expect to be brought gently back to earth with an arched eyebrow.
