The 2013 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
This review is taken from the current (2013) edition.
If the name doesn’t give the game away then the roast pig sitting in the window should do. This is the place to come for succulent, slow-roast pork stuffed into a roll. Pick your size, choose between white or brown roll, go traditional with apple sauce and crackling or be daring and top your pork with haggis and chilli sauce. The pig slowly diminishes throughout the day until it is all eaten, which means they are sometimes closed before 5pm. For a substantial, carnivorous treat on the go this is hard to beat, but vegetarians will probably want to keep on walking.

Good idea, but free-range rare breed pork and better quality bread and apple sauce would make it perfect!

I wish they had firmer rolls! I hate soggy bread. Good pork though!

Used to like this place a lot, but the price just keeps going up and up... It's now £4.60 for what's basically just a hot pork sandwich. Don't ask for a cold one though, unless you like eating big chunks of cold pork fat (if you do, go for it!). Also, the woman who runs the place is pretty nippy. Actually, less nippy, more just unpleasantly rude.
