We have been going to Boaters for around 11 years and were there again this morning; I was once again delighted with the quality and value for money. £6.95 for a full breakfast including the best coffee going. I have had many breakfasts that were more expensive and of poorer quality that cost more and never included coffee. Experiences always vary but mine has been always good and still worth a half hour drive.

Apart from the location there is very little to recommend here. The food is at best satisfactory but not nearly worth the prices on the menu. But what really lets this place down is the atmosphere; what should be a lovely neighbourhood cafe is instead cold and without any charm. The staff are off hand and at times unhelpful. Requests were met with "I can't guarantee that" Cold baked potatoes were taken from the table zapped in the microwave and plonked back on the plate without an apology or any comment for that matter. A real shame because this place should
be a wee cracker but just now it's just cheerless and expensive.

Its full breakfast fry up with brown toast & coffee was well presented over the weeks, even got jams too to lap up the rest of the toast & english mustard for my fry up mmmmmmmmm.
the service is superb & atmosphere is cool.
It be great if this place was open at night-time all lit up outside with music, tables, barbacue & chef cooking on the spit turning chickens.
Thanks for a wonderful time as always.
