The 2013 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
This review is taken from the current (2013) edition.
A dark, mysterious-looking monolith, more Gotham than Glasgow, Dakota sits beside the M8 near Motherwell. The interiors too are dark with bold use of black and dark chocolate colours, which make for an atmospheric backdrop to the food that comes out of the kitchen. Having trained under Ondine’s Roy Brett at Malmaison Leeds, head chef Tony Tapia rejoined his mentor, via a stint at Le Caprice, at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant before following him to Dakota, and that tutelage continues to serve him, and his diners, well.

Over priced - extra for side dishes and staff don't make you aware of this. Ended up with a piece of chicken and nothing else.
