The 2013 edition of The List's Eating & Drinking Guide is out now – only £5.95 (+p&p).
This review is taken from the current (2013) edition.
Tibo looks as if it should be in the the city's West End. The huge glass windows, large twinkling-star ceiling lights and candles dotted about are inviting and create a warmth inside. Laid back and friendly is the vibe the owners are going for, making it a popular choice amongst East End locals. Couples, families, students or even the odd solitary figure with their laptop populate the café – all finding the right spot either by the bar area for a drink or spread out for food. Don't expect to nip in for a quick bite – everything is prepared from scratch to a pretty high standard. Breakfast is served until 5pm and they add their own twist to the burgers – the Tibo Scottie with whisky sauce is a favourite. Main courses, platters to share and homemade puddings make up the rest of the menu. The cafe also serves as a cosy entertainment venue – it's jazz night every second Wednesday and twice a month on a Sunday there's an open mic.

Been a few times and enjoy the laid back style of serving and the foods been good so would recommend to anyone who likes laid back eating places. Not yet been to their alternate Sunday open mic music but expect that to be good.

Ordered a thirteen pound lamb tagine, immediately sent it back when it simply consisted of three tiny pieces of lamb and looked decidedly unappetizing.
Vastly over priced, small portions.
We were also treated to a nice sight of the chef walking through the restaurant, the only thing dirtier than him was the floor!

Very pricey, portions have reduced while price has increased. Not really for the locals.
