I was the very first and only customer at Bombay Feast on Saturday, just in time for opening. Despite having only one order, they mixed it up. Instead of sabzi pasanda, my wife found pieces of lamb in masaala sauce when we arrived at the sea shore to eat our takeaway. She is a vegetarian, so you can imagine our disappointment.
Secondly, chips we have ordered were not salted. Someone should at least ask if we want some salt, but apparently Bombay Feast chief expects customers to carry a bag of salt in their pockets when going out for an evening.
There were no napkins in the bag.
Instead of forks, we were given two plastic spoons. Maybe in India eating kebab and fried vegetables (if they can make order right) with a spoon is some sort of tradition, maybe it isn't. All I know is that it is not going to work very well.
Finally, drink I have paid for wasn't in the bag.
Obviously I took this meal back. I have received full refund, however chief has pointed that I have eaten half of my chips (which we did on our way to Queensferry). Yeah.Last words we heard were "Don't come back here". I promise I won't do it, you have my word.
I have no idea how this place has got onto "Best 10 takeaways in the UK" list, but I wouldn't like to see winner of "Worst takeaway" award if best one is such a place.
