Amber Chinese Restaurant

The restaurant looked nice from outside and there was a deal that caught our eye. It clearly stated "ALL main courses 50% off". However, we were more than shocked at the portion size of the mains which should have been around £10 for only 1 of them. The fried rice was not included so we ordered 2. The size of them combined was no larger than a single portion of rice from a takeaway. The waiter asked if we enjoyed our meal and we said we were disappointed with the portion size to which he replied abruptly "it's half portion 50%". We were lead to believe it was a full portion with 50% off the price - otherwise it is not a deal is it? I don't expect to go into a clothing establishment for example and buy a "50% off ALL t-shirts" and receive half a t-shirt! To add insult to injury, I asked for a diet coke which was £2.50 for a mini glass bottle. It was very over-priced, we feel very cheated and were more than unhappy with what we received. The food was served quickly and was average, the manager was lovely at the beginning but after the waiter relayed our comments back to her she did not even wish us goodbye on our way out! It was just like "I've got your money now thanks bye!" The worst restaurant I have been to, however, an apology from the manager would have been appreciated.
