Apple Weekend
Waterperry Gardens' Apple Weekend has been extended this year to allow even more visitors to enjoy the popular event and celebrate the native fruit. The event gives visitors the chance to view up to 50 varieties of apple, with many of them also available to taste. There are also around 15 different varieties of Waterperry produced apple juice to try with experts on hand to identify mystery apples and give advice about growing apple trees at home. The event offers the public the chance to celebrate regional food and drink, as quality food producers from the local area will be at Waterperry throughout the long weekend as well as stalls offering a host of local arts and crafts. Throughout the weekend regular tours of the orchard are available as well as a chance to explore the plant centre. No apple weekend would be complete without apple bobbing and there'll be plenty going on throughout the event, so visitors should be prepared to get wet.
